SEMO Health Network,

My two-and-half year old grandson from the St. Louis area was staying with me and my husband while his parents vacationed out of the country.  With no warning, he became very ill.

The staff at the Senath Medical Clinic saw him shortly after I called for an appointment.  After examining our grandson, Amanda Smallmon, FNP consulted with his pediatrician back in St. Louis to ensure there were no medicine allergies.  She then gave him two shots and a prescription for oral antibiotics.  Later in the day, she called to check on him.  When he was no better at his re-check appointment the next morning, she referred us to a pediatrician.  Eventually, he was hospitalized to receive intravenous antibiotics for a bacterial infection that had settled in a neck gland.

Before our grandson’s release from the hospital, the ENT who consulted on his case stated that had he not received good, prompt care from the beginning of this situation, it could have become life-threatening.  Amanda Smallmon, FNP and the rest of the staff not only provided excellent medical care, but went above and beyond their job descriptions to help us through these difficult circumstances.

My family and I will always be grateful to them and the SEMO Health Network for having the clinic here in Senath.
