Are you currently uninsured!? Unsure if you qualify for Medicaid or not!? Well SEMO Health Network is here to help! Many people in SEMO Health Network’s service area are uninsured, and the Affordable Care Act gives them the chance to be able to buy affordable health insurance that meets their budget and health care needs. No longer can you be denied for pre-existing conditions, and young adults can stay on their parent’s plans until age 26. Thousands of Missourians for the first time have a realistic opportunity to have health insurance.
You now purchase plans from the Missouri Health Insurance Marketplace. If you purchase a plan by December 23rd, your coverage would even start on January 1st, 2014. If you are uninsured you will have from now until March 31st of 2014 to purchase a health care plan. If you do not purchase insurance within that window, you will have to pay a fee when you file your taxes.
SEMO Health Network has a group of trained Certified Application Counselors (CAC’s) that will be able to assist people throughout our communities enroll in an affordable quality healthcare plan. Theses CAC’s are trained to answer your specific questions and help people fill out their applications. They will provide fair, accurate, unbiased information, and keep all private information confidential. These Certified Application Counselors will also be out in the community and at several events, and even be set up in certain towns on specific days so that all of our citizens have the chance to get health insurance coverage.
